The Romanian Prime Minister, Marcel Ciolacu, announced that from 2025, Romanian motorists will be able to reach Suceava by highway. The section connecting Suceava to the A7 highway is already in the public procurement process, and the Prime Minister emphasized that all necessary steps have been taken. Currently, the public procurement for the extension of the A7 to Suceava has started. Both projects are under bidding.
So, if we proceed at the current pace of the A7, pleasant surprises can await us as early as next year - stated Ciolacu. When asked about the works on the A8 motorway, the Prime Minister explained that a part of the project has already won the public procurement and has funding, while only the studies are being prepared for the A13. Ciolacu also assured the public that the road bypassing the town of Gura Humorului, as part of the Northern Highway, will be built. We have already prepared the technical and economic indicators for the Humorului bypass, and we will soon call for public procurement. The price is a bit high, at 500 million euros, but since Mr. Șoldan insists on it so much, we will be forced to implement it - concluded Ciolacu.
