The construction of the D3 motorway in central Bohemia will begin in three years, as a project that has been planned for a quarter of a century. "We started construction a year ago, we are keeping the schedule and the budget. Most recently, we demolished the bridge leading from Palačov over the highway, and we are building a new one," said Karel Chudárek, director of the Zlín branch of ŘSD. According to Chudárek, the Palačovská connector has two significances. "It is extremely important for the whole of Wallachia, as it connects Valašské Meziříčí, Rožnovsko, Vsetínsko and connects them to the D48 and partly to the D1 highway.

In addition, another important role is to reduce through traffic from the current I/35 road, which passes through Hranice and the spa town of Teplice nad Bečvou. "Teplice can also breathe a sigh of relief, as we help to protect the resources there, which can be damaged and irrevocably lost due to the current traffic and constant vibrations," said Chudárek, adding that the construction of the approximately nine-kilometer road section will consume approximately 2.2 billion crowns. Construction Director Šváb confirmed that after the completion of the D48 road and the section between Šenov u Nového Jičín and Bělotín, including the Palačovskou connector, only one section of the entire future D48 motorway in the Nový Jičín area remains to be modernized, more And 3.8 kilometers between Rybí and Šenov u Nového Jičína. ŘSD plans to start construction here within two years and finish it in 2029. It is not only highway construction that takes place intensively on the border of the three Moravian districts. In mid-September, ŘSD started the construction of the highway and road maintenance center in Poruba, Hustopeče nad Bečvou, Přerovsko area. "This will be the 25th highway maintenance center that will provide the connection between the Valašský interchange and the Valašsko highway network, including the Palačovskou connector, some sections of the D48 and the main roads of the 1st class." — said Jan Rýdl, spokesperson of ŘSD, noting that this center, like the Palačovská connector, will also be completed by the summer of 2026. According to Chudárek, the building will also house a highway police station.
